Are these tools really free?
Yes. Every tool on this page is free to use with no account, no trial and no usage cap for normal use.
Do the tools upload my files or text?
Most do not. Tools marked "Runs in your browser" process everything on your device with JavaScript, so your text, JSON or images never reach our server. Each tool page states exactly what happens to your data.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Each tool is a normal web page that works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and mobile. If you use a tool every day, each page also suggests Chrome extensions that do the same job from your toolbar.
Why does a Chrome extension directory make free tools?
People often need a task done once, not an extension installed forever. A web tool solves that without new permissions. When a job becomes daily, we point you to the extensions we reviewed for it.
Which tool should I use to check if my ad blocker works?
Use the Ad Blocker Test. It sends one request to each of 29 well-known ad, analytics and tracker addresses and adds 10 hidden ad-style boxes, then shows which ones your blocker stopped. Nothing it requests is ever run.
How do I check if my VPN leaks my IP address?
Run the WebRTC Leak Test with your VPN connected. It shows the IP addresses your browser exposes through WebRTC. If your real public IP appears, your VPN or browser setting is not blocking WebRTC.
Can I use these tools offline?
Tools that run in your browser keep working after the page has loaded, even if your connection drops. You need a connection only to open the page the first time.
Do the tools work on my phone?
Yes. Every tool is built for screens from 360px wide and up, with large tap targets. File tools accept photos and files from your phone's picker.
Are the tools safe to use with work data?
Browser-only tools never transmit what you paste, which makes them a safer choice than tools that upload input. Still follow your company's policy for secrets such as API keys and access tokens.
How often do you add new tools?
