Extension Weekly newsletter

Extension Weekly is a short, once-a-week email for people who don't have time to test extensions themselves. Each issue covers three genuinely useful Chrome extensions, one hidden gem you probably haven't heard of, and one small workflow built from tools already in your toolbar, so you can skim it in under two minutes.

What's in each issue

Every issue of Extension Weekly follows the same simple shape, so you always know what you're getting before you open it.

  • Three useful extensions worth installing, picked from what we've reviewed that week
  • One hidden gem: a smaller, less-known extension that quietly does its job well
  • One workflow: a short, copyable routine built from two or three extensions working together
  • A one-line reason to care about each pick, not a full review dump in your inbox

Nothing in the newsletter duplicates a full review word for word. It's meant as a scan-in-two-minutes companion to the site, not a replacement for reading the full listings when you want the details.

Who it's for

Extension Weekly is built for people who install a handful of new extensions a year, not people chasing every release. If you want your browser to work a little better without spending your weekend digging through the Chrome Web Store, this is for you.

  • Anyone who wants fewer, better extensions instead of a browser full of untested ones
  • Readers who check Find Extensions occasionally but want a lighter-touch reminder
  • People setting up a new laptop or browser profile and want a quick starting list
  • Teams and freelancers who want workflow ideas, not just individual tool names

How often it lands, and how it's written

Extension Weekly goes out once a week, on a fixed day, and skips a week rather than padding an issue with filler when there isn't enough worth sharing. Picks are drawn from extensions we've actually reviewed on Find Extensions, using the same methodology as every listing on the site.

No filler weeks

If a week doesn't have three extensions, a gem, and a workflow worth your two minutes, we hold the issue rather than send something thin just to keep a streak.

Privacy and your email address

We ask for one thing: your email address. Nothing else is required to sign up, and we don't sell or share your address with anyone.

What we collect
Only the email address you submit through the sign-up form on this page.
Double opt-in
You'll get a confirmation email after signing up. Your subscription only starts once you click to confirm it.
Unsubscribing
Every issue has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it removes you immediately, no login or reason required.
Sharing your data
We don't sell, rent, or share your email address with advertisers or other companies.

When signups open

Extension Weekly is launching soon. Sign-ups open at launch, and the form on this page will start accepting addresses at that point rather than before.

Bookmark this page if you want to be ready the moment signups open, or check back after our next site update.

Other ways to stay updated

If you'd rather not wait for launch, you can already browse every extension we've reviewed by category, task, or audience, and read our blog for longer explainers on specific tools and workflows.

Extension Weekly newsletter: FAQs

What exactly do I get in each Extension Weekly issue?

Each issue contains three useful Chrome extensions worth installing, one hidden gem that's less widely known, and one small workflow built from a couple of extensions working together, all summarized in a couple of minutes of reading.

How often does the newsletter send?

Extension Weekly is designed to land once a week, on a fixed day. If a week doesn't have enough genuinely useful picks to share, we skip it rather than send a thin issue just to hit a schedule.

What information do you need from me to sign up?

Just an email address. We don't ask for your name, job title, or any other details to subscribe, and nothing beyond your address is required to receive future issues.

What is double opt-in and why do you use it?

After you submit your email, we send a confirmation message you have to click before your subscription starts. It prevents someone else from signing up your address by mistake and keeps our list made only of people who actually asked to join.

Can I unsubscribe at any time?

Yes. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom that removes you immediately. There's no login, survey, or reason required, and it takes effect on the next send at the latest.

Do you sell or share my email address?

No. Your email address is used only to send you Extension Weekly issues. We don't sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any other company.

Is Extension Weekly free?

Yes, Extension Weekly is free to subscribe to and read. There's no paid tier, and we don't plan to charge for the core weekly email.

When can I actually sign up?

Signups open at launch. Until then, the sign-up form on this page is a preview of what's coming rather than a live subscription, so submissions won't be accepted until that date.

How do you pick the three extensions in each issue?

Picks come from extensions we've reviewed using the same checklist as every listing on Find Extensions: features, permissions, update history, privacy policy, developer details, and pricing, weighed for genuine usefulness that week.

What counts as a hidden gem pick?

A hidden gem is a smaller, less widely known extension that does one job well without a large following or marketing push. It's the pick most likely to be new to you, even if you already track major extensions.

What does a workflow section actually look like?

A workflow section walks through a short routine, such as combining a tab manager with a password manager, showing how two or three extensions fit together to solve one everyday task from start to finish.

Will the newsletter ever include sponsored picks?

If a sponsored pick ever appears, it will be labeled Sponsored clearly, matching how sponsored placements are handled everywhere else on the site under our editorial policy, and it won't replace genuine picks.
