Overview
find-extensions.com is an independent, static directory of Chrome extensions. There's no user account system and no login — you can browse, search, and read every page without ever creating a profile.
This policy explains, in plain English, the few places where technical or usage data touches this site, and nothing more than that.
Hosting and server logs
This site is served through Cloudflare, our hosting and content delivery network (CDN) provider. Like almost every website, Cloudflare automatically records standard server and security logs for each request.

- Browser and device info
- your browser's user agent string
- Requested URL
- the page or file you asked for
- Timestamp
- when the request happened
We use these logs only for security (blocking abuse and attacks) and reliability (keeping the site fast and online). We don't use them to build advertising profiles.
Browser storage (the search palette)
The search palette on this site saves your last few searches in your own browser's storage (localStorage), under an entry named fe-recent.
This data never leaves your device — it isn't sent to our servers or to any third party. You can clear it any time using the Clear button in the search palette, or by clearing your browser's site data for find-extensions.com.
No advertising or tracking cookies
We don't set advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
Analytics
We don't currently run any analytics on find-extensions.com — no page-view tracking, no third-party analytics scripts, nothing.
If that changes
If we add privacy-friendly analytics in the future, we'll update this policy first, before it goes live, so you can see exactly what's being measured.
Contact by email
If you email us at hello@find-extensions.com, we use your email address and the content of your message only to reply to you. A support message doesn't add you to any marketing list.
"Add to Chrome" links and the Chrome Web Store
Every "Add to Chrome" button on this site goes through a redirect link at /go/{extension}/ before landing on the extension's official Chrome Web Store page.
In future, we may count how many times these links are clicked in aggregate, to see which extensions people are interested in. This wouldn't build a personal profile of you.
Once you land on the Chrome Web Store, you're on a Google property, and Google's own privacy policy applies to whatever happens there — not ours.
Fonts and extension icons on this site are self-hosted, so your browser doesn't make requests to third-party font services when it loads a page here.
Data sharing and your rights
We don't sell or rent personal data to anyone, and we don't use any data collected on this site for advertising profiling.
Depending on where you live, data protection law — such as the GDPR and UK GDPR in Europe, or the CCPA/CPRA in California — may give you rights over your personal data, including the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to how we use your data
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@find-extensions.com. Because this site collects very little personal data in the first place, most requests will be quick to resolve.
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EU), and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, if we add analytics or launch the newsletter. The Updated date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version, and we'll describe any new data practice here before it goes live.
